Repentance, redemption, salvation and sanctification are three *very* important topics and I really don’t believe they, together, get talked about enough.

For a long time, I studied and began to teach on Women’s Development with a specific focus on “self” and “identity”, delving pretty deep into “who we are”. Looking back at that now it’s terrifying because everything I studied and taught was world-based, self-based having nothing to do with Jesus Christ. But now, after finding my way back to God, thanks to my husband, I’m fascinated by the topic of who we are in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. When we are born again in Christ, he washes away the sins of the old “us” and we become new creations in him. Two more verses that I really like related to this topic are Romans 2:12 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God, and 2 Timothy 1:17 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind. As new creations in him, we don’t have to be fearful of the things of the world.
