Matthew 19:6
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Marriage is the most sacred union a man and a woman  enter into, but since it’s original creation by God, the idea of marriage has been significantly defiled. The sanctity of marriahge has been foresaken and nearly destroyed by society – and in my opinion – by Satan.

It’s my understanding that God did not intend the marital union to be merely a human “contract” in the form of a  lifelong commitment, it was meant to be divine institution, a covenant, that once established, it was to be treated with the utmost respect and seriousness.

How do you view your marriage?

Do you believe that God brought you and your husband together on purpose? To love each other and build a life?

Do you believe that he made each of you for the other?

I feel very blessed to be able to answer this question wholeheartedly with a yes.

Marriage was not intended to be subject to human interference.

As Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

This means, what, or who, God brought together as one flesh, no man can divide.

Mark 10:9 says nearly the same thing, What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

God is the ultimate author and designer of the marital bond. Coming together in a lifelong commitment, not just to love each other, but to honor and glorify him together.

God is the glue.
